Lately we all have been bombarded with the news of Michael Jackson's death. While Michael undoubtly will go down in history as having a great rold in musical history it amazing to know that Elvis still lives on in his music and movies some 30 plus years after his death.

Elvis Presley left us on August 16, 1977. If you were around that day you would have remembered what you were doing and how you heard about his death. Everyone was stunned by his passing and the media made sure we knew everything about Elvis.

You couldn't escape the news on television. There were magazines, records and collectibles selling in every store. Television stations played his old movies and radio stations played Elvis songs.
