We went to see Tom Jones in concert recently and at 69 years of age he still has it. Jones still tours because he loves to sing. He has the ability and cash to retire but enjoys singing and the crowds still love watching him.
Tom Jones is a singer I have always had a little fascination with. From the songs he sings to the way he dances and sings on stage. The crowd goes wild over him and the women still throw their underwear up on stage at him while he is performing.
He has generations of fans listening to his music and people who weren't even alive when he first started recording. His music still sales and fans are still discovering him.
He likes to add new songs to his concerts while still mixing in some of his old songs like She's a Lady, It's Not Unusual, What's New Pussycat among others. His new songs are great to hear because his voice is just as vibrant in concert as it was years ago.
Music icon Tom Jones, one of the most distinctive voices and top-selling concert artists in the music industry. Jones has sustained his popularity for more than four decades, spanning the spectrum from pop, rock and country to classic standards, rhythm and blues to boogie woogie and rockability through to contemporary dance and urban soul. From 'What's New Pussycat' to his signature song, 'It's Not Unusual,' the swinging singer from the '60s puts on a great show.
His new cd is called 24 hours which he co wrote with other writers and when you hear them you will be sure to fall in love all over again with Tom.
