Who knew that a giant robot movie would take over the box office and do so well. If projections hold Transformers gross is set to down as the second largest in movie history behind only The Dark Knight which did $203.8 million in the same time frame last summer.

The movie which opened on Wednesday, June 24th has taken in over $200 million which is the biggest opening of the year bypassing Wolverine, which opened around 85.1 million on May of this year.
